Well known fact is that the Toyota Avalon was redesigned for 2013th and as a result the 2014 Toyota Avalon will come with only small changes if any would come. Reports suggest that these changes could slightly improve fuel economy and bring few changes to the hybrid powertrain.

Just like the previous model this one also brings significantly larger lower grille than the one located just under the hood. Well integrated headlights certainly improve appearance giving it much more refined and premium feel. At the back LED technology is implemented into tail lights that are joined together with chrome strip while the dual exhaust tips suggest that this is one quite powerful vehicle. Sleek and nicely curved profile is finished off with rear pillars that are strongly creased toward trunk.

Only one standard powertrain is offered for the 2014 Toyota Avalon and that is smooth and powerful 3.5 liter V6 unit that pumps out 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. Even this is a luxurious vehicle we are sure that amount of power that we are getting from a standard engine will be enough for most drivers. Power is transferred to front-wheels through a six speed automatic transmission just like it is the case with previous versions and it is capable of returning 25 mpg on EPA test. Improvements to both suspension and chassis that is not stiffer results in better handling and less body roll even when you push it through the corners.

Redesign Avalon

When compared to the previous generation this one comes with slightly shorter body but optimization and adjustments provide even more space in interior. As soon as you sit in this car you will notice that the dashboard brings a fell that it is divided in three segments. Instrument panel part, center console and front passenger area but everything is packed nicely with usage of high quality materials allowing you to enjoy this car fully. Controls on the dashboard offer logical and ergonomic layout so you will be able to get the hang of it quite fast.

With enough interior space we are also getting supportive and comfortable front seats and at the back passengers will have almost identical amount of space allowing this car to transport people on the back seat in perfect comfort. Cargo space in 2014 Toyota Avalon is enough for all those bags and luggage when you go for a vacation. We need also to say that there are well placed storage compartments and you will be able to easily and fast store all your personal belongings.

For many years Avalon managed to return great sale results to the Japanese car maker and with redesign and delivery of this model we are getting one vehicle that has been designed for U.S. market and made in U.S. This will certainly help out in the market game for every buyer against great competitors like Hyundai Azera, Chrysler 300, Buick LaCrosse and even Ford Fusion. If you are on the market and looking for a full size sedan Avalon certainly would be one of our recommendations.

Hybrid Avalon really improves fuel economy but i’m sill not sure if it worth of the extra cost. Hope that there will be additional changes because I should change my car in the next few years.

If I would be buying new car at this moment i think that 2014 Toyota Avalon would be one of my favorites. Redesign helped it but still it is a close call between this one and its competition.
